Expiring database schema (user) is bit annoying but there is way to turn off this feature. This article shows you how to do that.
Every user in Oracle Database belong to a profile and each profile got its properties. One of the properties of the profile is “Password Life Time”.
To alter the password expiry policy for a certain user profile in Oracle first check which profile the user is in using:
select profile from DBA_USERS where username =
;Now check the profile properties:
select resource_name,limit from dba_profiles where profile='profile_name';
Then you can change the limit to never expire (UNILIMITED) using:
alter profile profile_name limit password_life_time UNLIMITED;
